Kathy's Krackers and a Relapse

Posted Oct 04 2009 11:12pm
Happy Thursday! I was not in the best of moods this morning. Let's just say I jinxed myself yesterday when I said I have not binged since the food journal post. I will get into it a little later! I do feel happier now that my mom sent this to me!

Such a little stuffed animal!!! My mom is already trying to keep her and make me get a different kitten! Not happening!! She is too cute!

Anyway, onto food! I am going to start off with a little product review before I get into yesterday's eats! I received 3 types of Kathy's Krackers last week and have been munching on them here and there!

About Kathy's Krackers:

Kathy's healthy, raw, gluten-free, flaxseed crackers come in three delicious flavors made from the freshest ingredients available. If you like a very full flavored taste with a hint of bell peppers, tomatoes, and garlic, you’ll love her Savory cracker. If you are in the mood for something spicy, herSalsa cracker is what you need. Or, if you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, the Apple Cinnamon are lightly sweetened with a touch of Stevia.

I tried the Salsa crackers first.

First off, impressive nutrition facts!

I loved the huge size of 1 cracker. The cracker in the picture above is just 1/3 of a whole cracker. They were very thick and crunchy as well. I loved that you could see the pumpkin, flax, and sunflower seeds in the crackers. They had a tomato-like flavor that had a very nice kick to it. Definitely delicious for anyone who likes spicy foods.

Next I tried the Savory.

Nutrition Facts:

The best thing about these is the short ingredient list. I like being able to recognize every single one. The crackers tasted like a mix of vegetables; I'd say mostly peppers and tomatoes. Very flavorful and delicious! I would enjoy this flavor dipped in hummus!

I was most excited to try the Apple Cinnamon since I am slightly in love with anything apple cinnamon flavored.

I enjoyed the first couple bites of this flavor but then decided it had a slightly weird aftertaste. I think next time I will spread jelly or peanut butter on them. They smelled delicious at least!

Overall, I think Kathy's Krackers are the perfect snack to munch on. If you are interested, they are sold online here!.

Stay tuned for a few more reviews next week since I received a few exciting packages yesterday!

The first was from Pirate's Booty!

The second one was from Dr. Kracker.

Looks like I will be eating crackers every single day from now on! Don't ask me how I got all of this home yesterday.

I received one more amazing package yesterday too from a giveaway on Steph Chows!

I won a customized plate made by Janet at Custom Sepia!

Isn't it so pretty?? I am so excited to eat on it! Thank you Steph and Janet!

Wednesday Eats

As you can see, my Wednesday started off well...until 11:00 at night. I had a nice bowl of oats. They were half plain and half maple spice with a banana and Artisana Sunflower Butter.

Loved the maple spice flavor!! Thanks again Hallie!

I found out I would be having dinner with the boy again so I decided to hit up the gym at lunch. I never ever feel like working out after dinner so I knew it was necessary to at least do something during the day. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. That might be it for my workouts this week. Kind of sad but hopefully I will be better next week. It seems as though I need to attempt morning workouts again since I had dinner plans every day this week!

I got back to work and had a repeat lunch. Barney Butter and Crofter's jelly on Nature's Pride bread.

I snacked on a Z-Bar and Zevia later in the afternoon. Going to the gym at lunch makes me very hungry later!

The boy met me at work to help me carry my 18 bags of food. We needed something quick since he finally had work last night. We started off in the Westside Market but it was a little too crowded and crazy in there. We ended up back at Whole Foods! There are so many other places I want to try but I always forget at the time. I need to make a list or something. He is also kind of picky when it comes to healthy food so it makes it harder. Oh well, Whole Foods was delicious as always!

We walked in and spotted pumpkin pie samples!!

Next I found vegetable dumpling samples!

I made one of my nice huge salads.

Everything was good except for the grilled vegetables and eggplant. They were extremely oily!! My favorite part of the salad was the roasted sweet potatoes. Yum Yum.

He got pizza obviously. He got cheese since they do not have tomato pie at the Union Square location.

He does not like too much cheese on his pizza so he ended up ripping it off.

I stole it as a topping for my salad. I healthy right? Can't resist warm melted cheese!

We decided we like the Columbus Circle location much better than Union Square. There are more salad bar options and it is a lot less crowded! The food seems to be less oily too!

We stopped at Lite Choice after!

1/2 Banana and 1/2 Brownie. Great combo!

Did I need more food after that? I think not. I left the boy and went home. I started playing with my laptop because my sister's husband fixed everything and installed a new hard drive on it. I have the new Windows 7 now which is very cool. Anyway, my iTunes is all gone so I was trying to figure out how to get every song from my iPod back onto iTunes. They really don't let you do it because of copyright laws but I know there is a way! I could not figure it out and got pretty frustrated. I know, I should have just asked her husband from the start! Instead I checked a million websites and made myself very stressed out.
Stress leads to eating. I could not stop thinking about the Peanut Butter Puffins in the kitchen. Deep down I knew one bowl would lead to more but I went and made a bowl anyway.

I did not take more pictures but I had 2 more bowls after that plus a bowl of Raisin Bran! After the 2 nd bowl I figured, why not finish off the box? Yeah, gross. The last time a binge happened I was also alone and having computer issues. Guess the loneliness and frustration really play a role in my binging. Oh well, I will get back on track today. I am trying to stay positive. Everyone has there days.
Tonight, I have a fun little blog dinner date which I am looking forward to! More on that tomorrow! I will leave you with a few more cute pictures :)

The chair she is laying on is the actual chair owned by Jerry Garcia. My dad sells his art work for a living so they have a bunch of Jerry's things. I bet Daisy gets so much attention in his office!

Aw! My little Daisy likes the Grateful Dead. Haha, okay I am done. I have a lot of work today again so I should stop procrastinating! Have a good one!
