Just call me Miss Cranky Pants: Secret REVEALED

Do you ever wake up just "not yourself?" Yup, that was me this morning. Miss Cranky Pants.

Normally, I jolt out of bed before my alarm even goes off excited for my morning workout. Today, not so much. I had a terrible night of sleep, or lack there of. I woke up groggy, tired, and NOT HUNGRY. wtf is right? I immediately knew I was instore for "one of those days" until...

I recieved not just one...but two mood-changing e-mails, one of which finally permits me to share my SECRET with you!

First....I wanted to enlighten you with a few new recipes :) Up first: Tri-Colored Pepper Stir Fry

Pepper Stir Fry
-5 mini sweet peppers
-1/4C frozen edemame
-3 oz. chicken breast
-1/2C cooked quinoa
-olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, low sodium soy sauce

Directions: Begin by pan frying the chicken breast (diced) in 1t olive oil and 1t minced garlic. When the chicken is almost cooked, add in diced sweet peppers and edemame. Stir fry for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Serve on a bed of quinoa and flavor with a drizzle of soy sauce + balsamic.




Considering today's good news, which I still have yet to share with you, dessert was an obvious must-have tonight. Inspired by last night's healthbuzz chat (hosted by  Food Buzz ) on Twitter, I decided to whip up a new fro-yo recipe. (I am no longer a Twitter chat virgin!)

Blunana Fro-Yo
-1 frozen banana
-1/5C nonfat blueberry yogurt
-2T almond milk

Directions: In a small food processor, mix all ingredients together for about 2 minutes or until smooth. The consistency of your fro-yo should be light and fluffy. Indulge- and don't even feel bad for a second!






My obvious choice in topping was raisins ...

Good News Part 1Remember the proposal I wrote about a month ago for my academic major? IT GOT APPROVED TODAY! I am officially going to graduate ON TIME with the most amazing major that I created myself!
The degree I am studying to obtain is called a "Bachelor if Individualized Study." Through this program, I am able to create a major and tailor it to my specific interests. Sounds amazing right? Well, the proposal writing process is extremely intensive. You have to depict and summarize every class you are taking as part your major, ultimately proving to a panel in 10 pages that your major makes sense academically and will benefit you in the future
My three part major looks like this: Spanish Studies, Design Studies, and Public Health.
I get to take classes focusing on mass media, culture, Spanish, nutrition, art history, advertising, disease control, etc. Hence why I love every single one of my classes!
Whammy.
Even Better News Part 2adsfjlaf;adfsadsfl;!!! I can barely contain myself.
The other day I received an email from the social media specialist at Anytime Fitness . They wanted to let me know that they had been following Fit Foodie Finds ever since I tweeted back to them on Twitter. AND.... that they wanted me to join their blogging team! 
AHHH! I was obviously thrilled and said YES!
They have 9 amazing bloggers on their website, Anytime Health , who all specialize in different topics ranging from nutrition to exercise. My segments will be similar to FFF and focus on the healthy collegiate lifestyle through food and exercise!
Today was my first debut post! CHECK IT OUT PEOPLE---> The Power of a Balanced Life.
Fewwwww. Feels so good to finally get that secret off my chest! I can't believe I held that one in for over a week!
