How excited am I that my favorite workout lady ever is back on TV? And by the way, I watched most of the show in our gym while walking on the treadmill. I think Jillian would approve. I mean, seriously, if I could meet any famous person it definitely would be her. One hour in a gym with her? Heaven….
I’m hoping she’s also the motivation I need to finally kick my holiday eating to the wayside. I’ve been doing better these past couple days but I’m still not on a total normal routine/schedule and didn’t eat as well as I’d like to this weekend (but I’ve managed to have 0 alcoholic beverages and only desert once since new years). I just feel like I could get things cleaner. Here’s hoping this week is better.
And to kick off my days, I’ve created a new little smoothie concoction. We had a health day on Friday at work and there were some samples of protein smoothies using cottage cheese! I’ve done it before but totally forgot about this sneaky little protein substance.
Cottage Cheese, Banana, Blueberry Protein smoothie:
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 c frozen blue berries
1 T almond butter
1/2 c cottage cheese
1 c spinach
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
In other news, I spent the majority of my weekend catching up on Homeland. Most of the episodes were seen while on the couch (eating chips…bad!) but occasionally I watched episodes while running on the treadmill…good. I have 2 episodes left and then I’ll be all caught up. Can’t wait to see what happens.
