It’s a brand new dance, it’s called the iPod shuffle.

This morning I took a nice long walk (a tad over three miles) around campus. I brought along my iPod and put it on shuffle for the duration.
I’m now convinced more than ever that iPod’s need a new disclaimer: “Beware of iPod shuffle feature when in public areas. Uncontrollable desire to dance, break it down, or get jiggy with it, may occur.”
Seriously ya’ll, I couldn’t help myself. Every time I came to a stop light and had to wait for traffic to go by, I was be-boppin’ my little legs and trying really hard to fight back the urge to break it down. My iPod kept playing really upbeat and funky songs that just made me want to move. You think I’m kidding? If you only knew =) Not only was I having dance attacks, but I kept smiling, almost laughing, when I realized what I was doing. I must have looked like a crazy person…
Moving on (now that you think I’m totally bonkers)…I came back for a quick 20 minute yoga session to just loosen up my hips and lower back from the walk. I also indulged in a little chocolate before noon after yoga. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere right?
Lunch was interesting. I just threw a bunch of random things from my fridge onto a wrap for an impromptu burrito. It had black beans, avocado, the last of the blackened tofu from Mother Earth market, salsa, and some siggi’s plain yogurt. It was messy and delicious.
I finished off the yogurt with some orangeslices and a sprinkle of carob chips.
It’s about to storm here. Perfect weather for studying (or TV watching).
Are there any songs that make you just want to dance?
