It’s a Beauty!

Posted Dec 03 2012 1:31pm

I have to say, when I woke up this morning I was NOT ready for Monday but I have kind of changed my mind now. It may have been due to the extra large cup of coffee this morning but I am seeing things with a much better outlook as the day has gone on.

Clean house.

Good food.

Snuggles from my favorite little boy.

Getting to see my long distance best friend on Friday!!!!

Stephenie is flying into Dallas for a work conference but we made sure to plan ahead and get a couple days of girl time in before she has to get to work. I am so looking forward to it!!

The weekend

There really wasn’t much to my weekend, unless you count a lot of Christmas activities with my kiddos. On Saturday, Camryn had an outdoor performance that lasted all of 5 minutes(the things we do for our kids) but it did give us a chance to meet Santa Claus.

Yep, that is totally a picture of a picture!! And if you are wondering, YES, that is the real Santa. Just ask my kids. They pulled on his beard(with his permission) and have confirmed it. ;-)

Yesterday it was all about making the gingerbread house.

I know, it’s a real beauty! Don’t be jealous.

Other than a bunch of cleaning, it is just going to be a “hang out and catch up” kind of day. I need to get my Christmas cards ordered pronto. I also need to get some kind of workout in.

Remember Best Body Bootcamp ? I have to be honest with you guys. I am only half a** kind of doing it. It has nothing to do with the program which really is incredible but I have not been motivated to follow a plan. I think with life being so busy right now, I just need to do what I can, when I can. I would highly recommend it as it is very well planned out and I am still considering giving it another go when a new round is started on January 7th. If you are interested, sign ups have already started and for the minimal fee, you get ALOT with this program!!

Speaking of staying on a plan…I can’t even manage to do it for my meals. I had every intention on making myself a salad with lots of yummy veggies and a veggie burger for lunch but quickly changed my mind when Liam mentioned he wanted a PB&J for lunch.

Instead of using bread, I toasted up an Alternative Bagel and topped 1/2 with chunky almond butter and cranberry butter and the other 1/2 with creamy peanut butter and strawberry jam. So good!!! Especially with a few baby peppers on the side. I love those little things!!!

Have you seen the real Santa this year?

Do you decorate a gingerbread house every year? What were some of your Christmas traditions as a kid?

What’s for lunch today?
