Is there any reports of liver damage from taking Citrate of Magnesia for colonoscopy prep?

Skiboom:

Not that I'm aware of.  One time use of magnesium citrate is associated with diarrhea (what it is being used for in this case) but magnesium does not accumulate in the liver.  Thus, it can not cause toxicity.  Chronic, high dose magnesium toxicity tends to be more musculo-skeletal in nature.
