iPhone 5-4-3-2-1 Weekend!

TGIF! Welcome to Friday! Guess who preordered an iPhone this morning? ME! I won’t have it on the first day, but I also don’t have to go stand in line anywhere. It will ship directly to me, ready to go.

Last week I had the ultrasound and Tuesday I had an MRI. I saw the doctor yesterday, and yes, it is exertional compartment syndrome . My surgery is scheduled for Friday, November 16th. The good news is that instead of 4 surgical cuts, he is only going to have to do one. WOOHOO!!! I should be back to 100% at 6 weeks. So, my goal will be to walk our New Year’s Day 5K as my first race back. I really get good vibes from this doctor and have only read positive things about the surgery on the web. I am confident this is the right step to take. My other option was just to stop walking the races and that is really not an option for me. I am only 42. I should be MORE active, not LESS active.

1 Wish For the Weekend

For the Vols to beat the Gators!!! The UT Volunteers take on the Florida Gators tomorrow and I WON TICKETS!!! Huge thanks to Calhouns Restaurant . I won 2 tickets to the game, a parking pass, 2 VIP tickets to a tailgate, and a gift certificate to their restaurant. Very cool. My friend A and I are going. GO VOLS!!!

If you are ever in Knoxville, I highly recommend Calhoun’s. They have fabulous food and the best ribs!
