Eating healthy starts with planning. You have to decide what you are going to cook and have a shopping list ready before you head to a grocery store. If you go shopping without a plan, you are more likely to spend more money and buy unhealthy processed foods like frozen dinners.
Organizing recipes and writing shopping lists can be a real chore, especially if you don’t have much time. I used to just grab a cookbook and take it with me to a grocery store so that I could decide right there on the spot what to buy.
Dragging cookbooks around is not a great idea. That’s why I partnered with ZipList – the recipe box and shopping list app that makes life easier.
ZipList helps you keep your favorite recipes and shopping lists in one organized place and allows you to access them on the web or on-the-go with the free ZipList mobile app.
Many food bloggers and even some major websites such as MarthaStuart.com offer ZipList. You can also add recipes from websites that don’t offer ZipList to your recipe box using ZipList Recipe Clipper.
Many of you may already use ZipList. For those of you who aren’t familiar, here is what you can do with ZipList:
save recipes that you know you want to make later to the ZipList recipe box;
add ingredients for any recipe to your shopping list;
easily edit your shopping list, delete and add items with just a few clicks;
tag items in your grocery list so you can find them later;
print your shopping list or sync it across multiple devices and share with family and friends;
organize your shopping list by grocery aisle category;
create a “favorites” checklist of items you buy every week;
and much more!
And the best part is that it’s absolutely free!
