Zumba is a Latin based dance workout. It blends dance and aerobics together. It is an interesting mix of hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, mambo, martial arts and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. The dance work out has different options and is considered safe for all ages. A typical session burns about 500- 1000 calories. Aqua zumba is done in swimming pool.
Capoeira this work out has an interesting story behind it. It is a Brazilian martial art and includes elements of dance and music. It was developed in Brazil by the descendants of African slaves and has a fair share of Brazilian influence. The workout gives co-ordination, more aerobic capacity, strength and flexibility.
Tabura is a high energy workout that pairs West African dance moves with military style punching, jabbing and kick boxing drills. I guess this workout is pretty hard for an average person.
Bhangra workout is a centuries old folk dance from India. It has been made into a dance and fitness program by the television host Sarina Jain. Another interesting fitness regimen is that of the Bollywood music. It comprises of fitness and exercise routines which is heavily influenced by Indian Film songs. It helps you to lose weight in your hips, thighs and tones up your core. It also relieves pain in neck, back and shoulder area which may be caused due to long working hours.
