This morning I woke up to glorious sunshine! At 7:20am I might add!! I swear I can never sleep in these days, but I didn’t mind… after deciding it was way to early to get up on a Saturday I tried to go back to sleep and Steve woke me up with a coffee around 8:30. The perfect way to wake up!
Finally once getting out of bed I made a breakfast i’ve been thinking about all week.
French toast!!! I love having these kinds of breakfasts on the weekend! I made my french toast with 1 egg, soy milk, flax and a dab of vanilla… in the pan and on to my plate. I had a small banana on the side with a sprinkle of cinnamon and some real maple syrup drizzled on top.
I ran a few errands this morning including a trip to the nail salon to see Dan:
Dan is a very happy and very flirty nail artist (or whatever you’d call him). This pic was actually taken a few weeks ago when we took my mother in law to this salon to get her nails done! He was hilarious today and made sure to ask me if I was still married. Yes, Dan – I am. He says he likes my Canadian accent. Gotta say, this guy is a sweet talker.
I also stopped off at the shop and I was going to buy some chicken noodle soup for lunch (I was craving a bit of my childhood). That idea was soon put to rest when I checked out the ingredient list and it said “ chicken fat.” Um, ew? Not chicken pieces or something a little more appealing, but chicken fat? Yuck. So, needless to say I didn’t consume any chicken for lunch.
He was happy.
I had a veggie sandwich with cheese n’ pesto instead. Seriously yummy.
Do ingredient lists ever turn your stomach and make you choose something else to eat??
Once home Steve surprised me with another gift. No, not more flowers, not a card….
A JUICER!
Holy moly I am in love. This actually came from my mother in law, who told Steve to give it to me this morning when he went around to her house. It’s been used about 5 times and she said Leah will probably get more use out of it than I will. Oh yes, thank you!!!
It came with this fun book by Jason Vale.
I CANNOT WAIT to try it!!!

I am about to have a skype date with a friend from home!! I loooove skype! Check out this screen shot from a skype conv I had with my sister and nephew the other day. This is when he was talking to me and telling me about Mickey Mouse and his fun “Ween” (Halloween!).
Thank goodness for video calls. I’ve been watching this munchkin grow up over video!
