Increasing Weights

Last week a reader commented on one of my workouts and suggested that I increase my weights and do fewer reps.  Since I’ve been feeling a little bored and unchallenged at the gym lately I decided to give it a try.  At the gym I reached for the 15 lb weights… Only to realize I could not even lift my arm let alone do 8-10 reps.  I put those back and grabbed the 10 lb weights and did 3 sets of 10 reps each.  The result?  I felt much more challenged and could definitely feel it the next day!  Thanks Fitness Wayne !

This morning I decided to try a short run since I I rested my knee for a few days last week.  The run wasn’t too bad, but I definitely need to keep resting and icing some more.  After my run I headed to the gym for some arms and ab workouts…

I took the day off from work so that I could unwind from the busy weekend.  I do have a couple of work-related things I’m going to do quickly before people notice I’m online, other than that I’m excited for a relaxing Monday! :)
