In My Shopping Cart

Posted Feb 12 2012 11:53am
Have you ever wondered what I put in my shopping cart every week when I buy groceries? Well, look no further!

The cereal, crackers and bread are all for Casey. I usually eat organic cereals, like Kashi; however, since I'm not eating cereal as often as I used to, I rarely buy it on regular grocery shopping trips. Casey and I also have our own separate breads--he prefers the thick slices and I prefer thin--but my bread didn't need stocking this week!

I also usually buy a bit more produce than this, but we still have quite a bit leftover from last week. In the fridge, we still have some asparagus, brussel sprouts, cabbage and squash.

The only thing missing from these pictures is meat. I'm not a huge meat eater and I'm a little intimidated buying meat when I'm shopping by myself. I never know what's a good deal and which cuts to get... I opted to pass on the meat-buying for today, so Casey and I will just have to go back to pick up some meat later on.

When I got back from grocery shopping, I was hungry for an early lunch! I made myself a protein shake to tide me over for the time being. I blended up half a scoop of vanilla Bodylogix protein powder, a cup of frozen mixed berries, half a cup of carrot juice (that was fortunately still on sale this week!), and half a cup of vanilla almond milk.

I can't get over how good this protein powder makes smoothies taste! I'm sure you're all sick of hearing it, but it's just that good!

Don't mind the horribly messy and greasy hair. I have yet to shower today (oops)!

A bit later this afternoon, my family, two of my cousins, Casey and I are going to see Man on a Ledge . I'm super excited to see it! It looks suspenseful and Sam Worthington is definitely nice on the eyes. I'll let you know how it is in this evening's post!
