Hello again folks! Tell me if you sense a pattern…
The sun pretty much went in and out all day, and the storms we had were pretty bad. Morgan actually hid in the corner of the bathroom shaking so hard she could hardly stand. Once I got her out she continued to cry and pant. It broke my heart.
Since I had originally planned to go to the park for a run today as my workout, but wound up at the gym because of the weather, as soon as the last set of storms passed through, I quickly put on my sneakers and leashed up Morgan.
I figured a 2 mile power walk in the park together would relax her, and we would both have some fun getting outside and getting a bit more exercise.
Thank you, Mommy!
I couldn’t help but smile and laugh out loud as she happily trotted alongside of me and at the times she wanted to run and raced me. She loved seeing the rabbits, birds, and other dogs in the park, and nine out of ten people slowed up just to comment on her. She’s such a ham.
Straight from the park we picked up Ben from the train station and headed home to clean Morgan up from all of the dirt that splashed up from her as she ran through the puddles. Soon after, it was time for dinner!
After trying and absolutely LOVING the Sausages by Amylu , Spinach and Feta Cheese Chicken Sausages, ATK Foods was so extremely generous as to send me five more packages of their healthy chicken sausages to try…
Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil, Apple & Maple, Italian Chicken Sausage with Parmesan Cheese,
Apple & Gouda Cheese, and Tequila & Lime!
I was SO excited when I received the package, but I was even more excited to start sampling!
Fortunately for me, Unfortunately, Ben was not home when I had the sausages last time, but him, as well as anyone else who saw me the next day (or a few days after) heard how amazing they are, so I was looking forward to him trying them. Tonight we tried the Italian Chicken Sausage with Parmesan Cheese!
The sausages are 100% Natural (with no nitrites, no nitrates, no added MSG, no preservatives or artificial ingredients), in natural lamb casing, and gluten free.
They are made with the finest and freshest natural ingredients to produce intensely-flavored, lean and nutritious sausages. Each link (although a bit high in sodium) is only 120 calories, low in fat (6 grams), high in protein (15 grams), and low in carbs (2 gram). Plus, the first three ingredients are 100% fresh boneless, skinless chicken breast and thigh meat, Parmesan cheese, and water.
I sprayed a nonstick grill pan with some EVOO, and grilled the fully-cooked sausage links on medium-hight heat for 10-15 minutes
until they were heated through and a beautiful golden brown.
These are so fast and easy, and as soon as the sausages began to cook, an amazing smell filled the kitchen. Actually, an amazing smell filled the kitchen when I opened the package, and even Ben (who’s not a big sausage fan) commented on how they smelled and looked incredible.
I served the chicken sausages along with a light side salad of romaine hearts, grape tomatoes, and red onions, all drizzled with a little balsamic vingar and some EVOO.
The inside of the sausages were packed with parmesan cheese that literally poured out when you cut into the crisp casing. Tonight confirmed that these are the BEST chicken sausages, in fact any sausage, I’ve ever had. They are absolutely fantastic and filled with flavor. I seriously could eat these all the time and be one happy camper.
Ready for this one? Ben told me it was one of the most delicious and satisfying meals we’ve had…one of his favorite meals! Plus, it’s simple and healthy! Brownie points for me Amylu.
For some whole grains I also toasted up two slices of Arnold ‘s Whole Grains, 100% whole wheat, Double Fiber Bread.
I then topped the toast with a little Bestlife buttery spray and a sprinkle of garlic powder to create a healthy Garlic Toast.
