I read all I can read about getting a flat stomach, but what about those of us who have the pooch?

I had a child 3 years ago and I still have the pooch.  My stomach is not protruding like a beer belly,  but it almost folds over, like loose skin, but I'm thinking there must be something I can do because I can't afford surgery.
