I Love The Sun

Posted Feb 09 2012 12:00am

Earlier in the week I was having a run of bad moods.  There were various reasons for the moods (mostly school and work related) but no use in reliving it all.  The one thing that has been a total blessing to my week is the sun.

We’ve had the sun come out everyday since Sunday.  That never happens in Toronto in February.  I think today is the last day of sun so I’m going to enjoy it for as long as it’s here.

Yesterday as promised I was back to the gym.  The truth is I was a big procrastination monster yesterday and didn’t get going on my day until very late.  But what’s important is that I did get to the grocery store and to do my other errands, I did make dinner and some lunch stuff for the next few days, and I DID get to the gym.  I’m saying all of this to reaffirm that it’s not the end of the world that I lazed around for a while yesterday.  It’s okay to stop and slow down once in a while right!

I’ve been trying to add some new exercises or variety to my workouts lately.  Last night I did this exercise for the first time ever.  I have no idea why I didn’t try it sooner!

Here’s a food pic for you from a few days ago.  Pizza and salad (mmmm pizza I love you I love you I loooooooove you).  This was such a simple salad but so fresh and delicious:

  • romain lettuce
  • shredded carrot
  • fresh lemon juice
  • drizzle of olive oil
  • pinch of garlic powder

What new workout move have you tried out lately?
