Sometimes, when I get together with my friends, we eat in a really
girly way. It's sort of like a pendulum. One night, we'll celebrate with champagne and cupcakes, and then the next day will be salads and water. Whatever. It works for us. Here's What I Ate
Wednesday Weekend
At first, I planned on showing yesterday's meals. I took pictures of them and loaded them onto my computer, and then realized...
this is really boring. I pretty much eat the same thing every week! Expect something green in the early morning, some oatmeal in the late morning, and a variation of black beans, sweet potatoes, quinoa, salad, chips and salsa, and fruit for lunch and dinner.
Instead, I'm going to tell you about my awesome weekend! K?
(disclaimer: this was in September, which was before my
announcement to swear off sugar ...and I'm kind of kicking myself for telling everyone about that, but it's definitely making me stick to it...darn)
2 of my friends from college flew/drove in to visit me in Chicago over the weekend! This meant I kicked off the weekend by cleaning my apartment, which was embarrassingly dirty...
.....and baking, because everyone loves walking into an apartment that smells like pumpkin bread:)
These girls are ridiculous and awesome and we instantly act about 8 years younger than we actually are whenever we hang out.....like, the instant they walked into my apartment, they wrote this on my chalkboard and said,
omg, this song defines us!
We're totally "those girls" who I would normally make fun of....and then we start acting like
. If I saw anyone else dancing through the grocery store aisles or singing Taylor Swift in the street in the middle of the night, I would be so annoyed. But this weekend called for an exception :):)
