Hot Bod in a Box

How much did that title totally confuse you?

Last summer, I picked up this awesome Jillian Michaels workout card set called “Hot Bod in a Box.” I had forgotten all about it, but busted it out again this week and wanted to share it with you guys!

This awesome set is fantastic for people who are just getting started with going to the gym and lifting weights.  The box comes with 9 pre-designed circuit style workouts as well as a collection of cards demonstrating over 70 different exercises, so you can design our own workouts too! It also comes with “training techniques” information cards so that you can learn the lingo and design your own workouts effectively. These cards are awesome to take on the go– they are very durable and covered in a plastic coating– ready to take on sweat :) The cards also include body-weight exercises, which came in handy at the cottage last summer! So, if you are looking to get started with incorporating strength training into your workout regimen, but aren’t sure how, you can grab this set at Chapters or Amazon for under $20!

It was another major scorcher outside today, and for some unknown reason, yet again I insisted on taking my workout outside. I used some of these “Hot Bod in a Box” moves at a local park that was about a 2.5km run away– I also ran home :) I clearly ended up a sweaty MESS.

Pictured above is the most delightful post-workout shake I have had in ages. I made it with 1/2 a frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen mangoes, 1 cup almond milk and 1 scoop About Time vanilla protein. It was gone in approximately 5.6 seconds. I am totally addicted to these frozen mangoes. I put them in my oats this morning too.

Smoothie game changer.

 

And just because, here is Lemon getting her sunbathe on.

She’s giving me that look because she cannot understand what she did to deserve my smelly post-run Vibrams next to her head.

 

I am so excited for this weekend! Tomorrow I am going to see two of my oldest friends from elementary school! One of whom is EXPECTING A BABY GIRL! Cray-zay. THEN, on Sunday, I get to meet some of my FAVOURITE BLOGGERS!
