I also blended up a green monster to drink during my shift that ran right through my regular lunch time. I combined half a frozen banana, half a frozen orange, half a scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, half a cup of unsweetened almond milk, half a cup of water, and a handful of ice cubes. It was the perfect way to eat lunch while at work!
When I got home, I was itching to try out a new healthy dinner recipe. I wanted to try my hand at these turkey strips; however, I only had chicken breasts on hand. Therefore, I transformed this recipe into Chicken Strips with Honey Mustard Sauce.
Aside from the turkey-chicken swap, I followed these directs exactly.
This recipe turned out great! After about 20-minutes of cooking, Casey and I had delicious and crispy chicken strips to eat alongside our salads.
These chicken strips were perfectly juicy with a bit of crunch from the breading. The strips with the least honey mustard sauce turned out crispier, but had less honey mustard flavour. Oh well, I guess you can't win them all!
We also had a big mixed salad alongside our chicken strips. I topped my Italian Mix lettuce with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and Vitality Mix trail mix (dried cranberries, pecans, walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds). I topped my salad with fig balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing which went along perfectly with the sweet and crunchy trail mix.
Everything about my day today was perfect! I'm hoping to end my day with a sweaty gym session and perhaps a small bowl of frozen mixed berries with a light Nesquik Plus chocolate syrup drizzle for a bedtime snack!
