Home Work outs

Posted by RunnJRun

I'm currently out of the running game because of an IT Band issues. I'm on week 3 of no running, and it's been 4 weeks since my IT band started really acting up.

I'm trying to work on my cross training. I don't have access to a gym, so that's out of the question.

I have 3lb & 5lb weights at home, a stability ball, a yoga matt & a treadmill. What type of work outs do you do at home?

I'm just not good at making up my own circuit work outs. I get bored, and I don't know enough to really put together a great work out. I need something that won't put to much strain on my knees.

Help!

I just posted this for another person but this Good Housekeeping article has some great at-home workouts and other tips:

Otherwise, I know there are free yoga podcasts out there, and there is often free yoga and other workout shows on demand through your cable provider as well.

I'll check out good house keeping. I have the Jillian Michaels Yoga DVD.. Yoga doesn't seem to be my thing.

My stupid on-demand work outs haven't worked in a week with my cable provider. jerks.
