Holiday Day Seven - North Woodstock and Ogunquit!

Posted Jun 18 2011 12:06pm
Day Seven of my hols! Started the day in North Woodstock with a healthier breakfast for once. I needed the veggies, but to be honest carrots and celery is a bit of a weird combo to eat first thing! This was veg with scrambled egg whites and fried spuds, followed by the free cinnamon bun.

I love cinnamon buns. I made them from scratch once about 5 years ago.. they were ace.

I loved the mugs they served our breakfast coffee in so much, I bought one! Bargain at $5

We said farewell to North Woodstock and left New Hampshire...

...for Maine, and the little beach town of Ogunquit. Fab weather!

We ate lunch on the beach. I recreated this for lunch last week and I'm going to do it again - crackers, grapes, cheese, veggies :)

Qgunquit is gorgeous!

We sat out in the sun for a bit with drinkies - I had a Funky Monkey latte (banana & choccy coffee)

Look at all the maple syrup!

I did some purchasing: taffy in various flavours, pineapple and coconut soap (plus freebies from the nice man in the chemist) and a sparkly nail polish. 90% of the nail polish I buy these days is sparkly, I dunno why!

We stayed in a hotel with a pool and a sauna and got lots of use out of both :)

We ate at a place called the Front Porch. I had a pink cocktail which was so strong it nearly blew my head off!

I became obsessed with bread and butter in America - HOW do they get the butter so whipped and salty and god damn lush?! This ain't Lurpak let me tell you

I had a huge (of course) creamy chicken pasta

And we shared a creme brulee

Then more drinkies in the bar - I had a pear martini

Day Seven - done!
