Proof that working out consistently can do wonders. Other than a mile or two, I haven’t run since last summer, so I give a lot of credit to Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping . The kickboxing workouts are always challenging and I now I see just how much my cardiovascular endurance has improved! I’ve never really considered myself much of a runner (I’d rather take a kickboxing or bootcamp class than go for a run), but now I can see how people get hooked. I set a goal for next year of < 40 mins!
Wow! Absolutely delicious. And that’s coming from a vegetarian. We started out with a bread basket that’s the stuff a carboholic’s dreams are made of. Warm and soft rolls, pretzel bread, and garlicky breadsticks. Since I had zero interest in the steaks and seafood, they offered to let me choose three items from the vegetables/sides part of the menu and combine them into a vegetarian plate. I, of course, went with the gorgonzola mac & cheese, which was just out of this world! I also chose the Brussels’ sprouts and asparagus. The Brussels’ sprouts were both buttery and crispy at the same time. Very good! Ryan said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had and I tend to agree. The service was impeccable and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for another special occasion.
Tomorrow is the final day of the 10 Week Challenge at FXB ! We will be tested and measured just as we were at Week 5 and Week 1. Then, tomorrow evening, we have a celebration banquet and the male and female with the greatest transformations will each win $1000. I can’t wait to see who wins and to celebrate everyone’s hard work and dedication over the last 10 weeks!
What are your weekend plans? The weather is supposed to be beautiful here in Chicago (we are talking 80° on Sunday!), so I plan on getting my booty outside as much as possible. That probably means a couple of dog park visits, brunch/lunch on a restaurant patio, and a Sunday evening walk to get ice cream!
