Hey everyone! Well I am currently blogging in the car on my way home from Maine, or as I think of it, on my way back to reality! Tomorrow it is back to work, back to school and back to my super crazy, busy life. But, for now, let’s just back up to Sunday morning. We got up and decided to go to Bintliff’s for breakfast. We had about a 30 minute wait, which was fine with me, I just chatted with mom, dad and Adam. Once we were seated, I ordered a coffee and a water. Oh, and a GIANT Bloody Mary!!!!

IMG_1789.JPG

THis Bloody Mary was seriously good! I loved it. It was just spicy enough. For my meal, I got the veggie home fries with egg whites. It was basically some home fries with a whole bunch of veggies on them. I mixed the egg whites in there with all the veggies….it was awesome!

IMG_1793.JPG

There were mushrooms, beet greens, zucchini, spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers and onions. So good! I think I ate about 2/3 of it. We decided to order an order of the Creme Brulee French Toast for the table to split.

IMG_1790.JPG

It was so good, and very different! The top was crunchy…yum. I have a half a piece with a little maple syrup.

After breakfast, I was stuffed, and mom and I decided to get in some cardio. That would be cardio by way of outlet shopping :) We went to Kittery for the day. My mom was very sweet and bought me some new clothes (mostly for work) because all my clothes are too big for me. I am going to get some stuff taken in, but it is nice to have some new clothes that actually fit right. Clothes that are too big, or too small for that matter, are always so uncomfortable. THANKS MOM!!!

We shopped for about 4 hours! Then sat in traffic for over an hour to get back to the house. When we got back, I changed for dinner (I had pictures of my outfits, but my camera ate them…sorry, nothing crazy exciting anyhow.) We decided to try a new place called Federal Jack’s In Kennebunk. It was a really cute place right on the water. Adam and I both started off with a Shipyard Pumpkin Head Beers. YUMMM!

IMG_1794.JPG

I loved the light pumpkin taste. It was also really spicy flavored. I could taste the nutmeg for sure. Such I great fall beer. For my meal I ordered the hummus sandwich with sweet potato fries.

IMG_1797.JPG

It was Federal Jack’s own roasted red pepper hummus, with tomato, lettuce and red onion on a multigrain bread.

IMG_1796.JPG

The sandwich was really good. I loved how light it was, the roasted red pepper hummus was really flavorful. I also got a side of the vegan black bean chili.

IMG_1795.JPG

I ate all the chili, 3/4 of the sandwich and about 1/3 of the fries, I shared with Adam,. He got regular fries, but liked mine better. After dinner, while riding home, we decided to stop for soft serve. My dad joked that I would order a beet and artichoke ice cream in a dust cone. He thinks I eat weird. HAHAHAA! I got a kiddie sized peanut butter with chocolate sprinkles. I love sprinkles!!!

IMG_1799.JPG

It was good, and tasted so much like peanut butter I couldn’t believe it. After ice cream we sat around and watched tv. I was tired and ended up going to bed at 10pm. Old Lady!!!! I slept okay, although I am excited about sleeping in my own bed tonight, I haven’t slept super well since I got here.

When we got up Adam and I decided to go for a run. We ran 3.5 miles, half of which was on the beach. I wanted to run down the beach and show him the house my parents want to rent for our family reunion. Running along the beach was beautiful. There was a great breeze and there was not a cloud in the sky. It was perfect, it was one of those moments I wish I could stay in forever. Running on the beach with the sun on my face and Adam right next to me was fantastic! When we got home we made out own breakfasts. I was happy to do that, I have not had a meal since lunch on Thursday that was not eaten in a restaurant. WOW! I came to Maine prepared too!

IMG_1801.JPG

Excuse the no make-up, and sweaty run face and hair-do! That’s right I brought some swagtastic Barney Butter!!!! I made a Barney Butter and raspberry jam toast sandwich with some watermelon on the side.

IMG_1802.JPG

It was a little burnt, but I don’t mind that at all. Look at that yummy brekkie.

IMG_1803.JPG

I had some coffee too.

IMG_1800.JPG

After breakfast, I showered and got dressed and we headed out to play some golf. We went to a chip and putt, My mom, dad and Adam all play golf. I do not. But I think I did ok. It was fun, but we did 18 holes and I got a little bored. I think 9 holes would have been better for me. It was Adam and I vs. mom and dad. We won :)

After golf, we were all hungry to we went out to lunch. We went to a place called Bessie’s. We ordered some nachos to start. They wanted chicken. I wasn’t in the mood so I ate around it.

IMG_1805.JPG

IMG_1806.JPG

I basically ate chips with guac and salsa. For my meal I ordered the veggie wrap, then mom and I switched half for half. I gave her half of my wrap and her gave me half of her tuna melt.

IMG_1807.JPG

The veggie wrap was awesome!!! It had hummus, tomatoes, lettuce, feta.

IMG_1808.JPG

YUMMMM! The tuna melt was just meh, nothing great. I had a few fries too. I love steak fries. They were well worth it. After lunch, we got back to the house and packed up the car. Adam and I decided to grab some groceries before leaving so I didn’t have to go to the store when we got home. I have a pup I want to spend some time with instead;) I miss Oscar a lot! We are in all kinds of traffic right now. Blah! At least we made the stop at a local coffee stop before we left to get coffee :)

IMG_1809.JPG

Medium sugar free vanilla latte with 1% milk (they were out of non-fat milk). I will see you guys later. I am sad to see Labor Day weekend and summer end, but I also like being in my normal routine. How was your weekend? Do you ever feel grateful to be back in your routine after a few days away?
