Blogging is one of the ways I express my ideas and thoughts. I am very grateful to everybody who reads these thoughts and agrees or disagrees with them. However right now I do not want to talk about myself, my ideas or my thoughts. I want to take a few seconds of your time and ask you to read something that will have more influence than just making you or me feel good.

I am pretty sure that all of you know that October was Breast Cancer Awareness month. I do not want to bring up negative thoughts and talk about how horrible this disease is (I am not a fan of negative thinking). For my own balance I want to hope that this disease will never touch me or anybody around me. At the same time I know a lot of families who go through really difficult times trying to cope with breast cancer. Just a few days ago I read that 1 out of 8 women will die of breast cancer and this rate has gone up in the last few decades (in the 70s it was 1 out of 10).

breast-cancer-donation Cancer is one of the reasons that I am trying to live a healthy and balanced life and I am trying to spread the idea of physical and emotional balance to the people around me. This month I have participated in a project that was meant to collect donations for the Susan G. Komens for the Cure organization. Two wonderful bloggers (Lance Ekum from the Jungle of Life and Joana Sutter from Fitness and Spice ) came up with an idea to gather the best posts from different blogs and to publish these posts in one book called the “Blog-4-Cause” . Everyone who wants to donate a few dollars to the Susan G. Komens for the Cure organization can purchase this book and all the proceedings will go to breast cancer research (please click here if you want to find out more about the book or to make a donation).

I am very happy that you have taken a few minutes to read this post. Together we can make a difference and build a brighter and healthier future for us and for the people we love.
