Healthy Traveling.

Posted Mar 11 2013 9:43pm

This past week/weekend has been a whirlwind.  I spent a few days with my sister and her family (3 kids under 6!) and then had a girls weekend in Miami.
Last week I talked about traveling and planning workouts but eating healthfully can also be challenging when not at home. I can say all around food and fitness was a success!  Lots of walking, in-home and in-hotel Pilates and strength training workouts, pre-planned snacks and the most awesome juice/smoothie bar made eating healthy easy and delicious.

In-Flight Healthy SnacksJustin's Nut Butter (good protein and a sweet treat!)
Tea for the flight
Snack Peckish Bag (Almonds, Coconut bits, and Dark Chocolate Chips)
Sliced Mango and Kiwi (I place cut-up fruit in a glass tupperware container, I love these)

I love to be prepared.  My flight to Florida was during lunchtime and instead of spending money at the airport and not having the best options I packed a few snacks that fulfill my nutritional needs.  It can be super tempting to grab some candy, pretzels, or even soft-serve at the airport, that's why having a variety of snacks makes it easy to stay on track.

How do you stay healthy while traveling?
