Healthy, Fit & Fabulous!

Posted Feb 29 2012 12:00am

Imagine if you could feel healthy, confident, successful, and completely satisfied and secure.  Imagine if you could live your life by design and experience a life of meaning, passion, and purpose. Imagine your life simply flowing … waking up each morning feeling excited, healthy, balanced, peaceful and totally alive.

All these things and much more are completely possible.  You can look and feel great and live a dynamic, fulfilling life!

Reclaim, Redefine & Reinvent Yourself – It’s never too late to redefine yourself and your goals.  Eliminate your roles, masks and labels.  Your current “identity” is one you’ve made up anyway.  Change your style, try new things, go somewhere new, and allow yourself to dream BIG.  Write down your goals without censoring yourself.  If you could do absolutely anything, anything whatsoever, what would you do?  If time, money, age, the economy, your family and your fears were not an issue, what would you do?  Deep down, you know what you long for and what you want.  You may have been dreaming about “it” for as long as you can remember.  Write it down.  Write it all down.  Then, write down one (1) small action step you can take towards one of your goals – no matter how small it may be.

Achieve Optimal Health & Well-Being – Age with dignity, pride and passion by embracing your individuality.  Stop neglecting yourself and respect your body’s wisdom.  Perhaps you’ll never be a perfect size 0, but that doesn’t mean you’re worthless and don’t deserve to look and feel your very best.  Feed your mind, body and soul.  Read books that stimulate you.  Engage in exercise you .  Do things that make your spirit come alive.  Nourish yourself on every level.  Allow yourself to shine.  Nothing is sexier than self-confidence.

Each day, focus on 3 things you like about yourself and your body – no matter how small they may be.  Remember, whatever you focus upon expands.  Beating yourself up will get you to take action.  It actually has the reverse effect.  If criticizing ourselves worked, we’d all have everything we’ve ever wanted, as we’ve become masters at self-defeating internal dialogue!    If you don’t, no one else will.

Enjoy Financial Freedom – Grow your net worth and enjoy the freedom that comes with financial independence by becoming a savvy money manager and building financial fitness.  Believe it or not, you can have fun managing your money and slashing your expenses.  Review your budget and see if your spending is in alignment with your goals, values and priorities.  Even if you’re not over-spending, you may not be using your money for those things that are truly important to you.  Spend at least 20 minutes a week on your finances.  You may use that time for tracking expenses, learning about passive income, et cetera.  If you need more knowledge in the area of financial freedom, sign up for a workshop, start reading books on the topic, or seek out a mentor or coach.  Once you start working on this area, it actually becomes interesting, fun, and easy.  There’s nothing like the feeling of knowing you can take care of yourself, purchase whatever you desire, contribute money to your favorite cause and do what you want to do, when you want to do it!

Add Magic To Your Relationships, Home & Family – Imagine what it would be like to create a passionate love life, connect better with your family, experience true love and intimacy or live in a sacred, uplifting and energetic environment.  All these things are possible by setting aside a little bit of time each day / week to focus on them.  When working with my coaching clients, they have engaged in all kinds of things to strengthen their relationships and home life: Some clients commit to doing one (1) extra special thing for their spouse and / or children each week, some couples create family “Play” lists and commit to weekly date nights, some individuals decide to send a personalized card to their friends and family on a weekly basis, some families create “Team Family” and share their goals and dreams with each other, and others de-clutter their living spaces and surround themselves with those things they find beautiful and interesting.  There is no right or wrong.  Just be creative and have fun with your family and friends.

Savor Peace Of Mind – Allow your mind to be your servant and your master.  Stop blaming yourself and let go of perfectionism, guilt, worry and regret.  You can stay up in down times by putting your thoughts to work for you.  Since your mind wants to be busy, ask yourself questions that serve you.  Rather than asking yourself, “What’s wrong with me?” ask yourself, “What’s with me?”  Instead of focusing on a problem, ask yourself, “What is the solution to this situation?”  “Why is this happening for me?”  “What new and exciting opportunities are available to me?”  “Why is now a good time for me to succeed and move forward on my goals.”  Whatever question you ask, your mind is going to come up with an answer.  You might as well ask yourself questions that are supportive, uplifting, and solution-oriented.

Live Your Life By DESIGN – Take control of your life and regain the magic and the possibilities by using a schedule. Imagine you’re an artist and your schedule is your blank canvas. Each week, design the life you want to live.  Put in activities that make you happy and bring a smile to your face.  Schedule activities that are in alignment with your goals and heart’s desires.  Take time to play.  Make time for your family and friends.  Don’t just fill your schedule to your typical “To Do” list.  Remember, your schedule reflects your life.  When you look at it, you want it to excite you.  You want it to be filled with things that are meaningful and important to you.  Your time is precious and sacred: Every minute that goes by is gone forever.  Don’t look back on your life and think, “What if?” and “If only.”  Now is the time to live the life that is rightfully yours.  This isn’t a dress rehearsal.  Enjoy each and every day.

Regardless of any goal, start off small and have compassion for yourself.  Change takes time, but, like putting money into a bank account, each step you take has a cumulative effect.  By taking at least one positive action step per day, soon you will end up in a positive situation that brings you happiness and joy.

Wishing you a fun & exciting journey ~
