Whoopsiesss. I kinda fell off the face of the earth this weekend, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t have a great one! New month means a new date from the
date box . This month I got us tickets to go see the Atlanta Hawks play!
Tony had never been to a professional basketball game before, and while I am not a big basketball fan, it’s always fun to see sports in person!
The Hawks stadium (Philips Arena) is awesome! I have been to my fair share of stadiums and arenas and this is definitely one of the nicer ones!
There were a ton of food options, which was nice because we didn’t have a chance to eat before we left. Tony worked all day and came home with enough time to pick me up and head right back out the door. While our tummy’s were rumbling, we made sure to quench our thirst as well

).
Those might be the most awkward pictures ever.
I got tickets for the cheapest price I could find (um,
I had to pay for and plan 12 dates !), so I expected to be in nose bleed territory, but I don’t think there is a bad seat in this arena!
Not too shabby for $15 tickets!
After the game (the Hawks lost) we headed home and watched Jersey Shore. Great day!
Moving on to Super Bowl Sunday.. Again, Tony had to work all day, so I cleaned the house and made a bunch of snacks for the game. Two of our friends stopped by to watch the game with us and I didn’t want to miss out on Super Bowl treats just because there was only 4 of us! Check out our spread
YUM! Here is a close up of some of the goods
So good! The meatball recipe is from
here , the guac recipe is
mine , stuffed cookies are pretty self explanatory and the wings are my dads recipe which I will be sure to post soon. They are SO good (and baked, not fried!), my friends!
Once I finally finished cooking and cleaning we sat back and watched the game. I didn’t really care who won, but I guess I was pulling for the Giants over the Pats because I was happy they won. Overall the game wasn’t super exciting. I’m not a Madonna fan so the half time show was pretty blah and I wasn’t overly impressed with any of the commercials. There were three that stuck out to me though
Volkswagen, The Dog Strikes Back.
Naked M&M
and well,
David Beckam .
What were your favorite commercials?
Did you watch the game? What did you do for it? Make or eat anything delicious?
