I hope that everyone had fun last night- no matter what you did.
As I posted yesterday, we just stayed in, cooked a nice dinner, drank lots of wine, and watched a movie called Hope Springs. We thought it was pretty cute, but any movie starring Meryl Streep is a guaranteed winner in my book.
We put Michael down to sleep in his crib at about ten. He was sleeping so peacefully until the fireworks startled the poor little boy and woke him up.
So when the clock hit midnight, I was rocking my sweet baby to sleep in the nursery.
It was perfect.
Anyway, he’s taking his morning nap, so I thought that I’d take this opportunity to do a little breakfast time check-in.
Today’s breakfast was protein pancakes. I haven’t made them in ages because I’ve been on such an omelet kick, but I had lots of blueberries to use up and thought this would be the perfect way to do so.
As you can see, I topped the pancakes with blueberries, and I also drizzled some raw honey on top.
To be honest, I missed my omelet this morning, but this was still a nice, healthy, New Year’s breakfast.
