Happy Hump Day WIAW #3

Hello Peeps!

yes, I said Peeps.... just trying to kick it old school :) Hope everyone is having a happy hump day! I love Wednesdays because they mean I only have two more sleeps until the weekend, and its Super Bowl weekend!! Does anyone have plans for the big game?

So far this week my workouts have consisted of a lot of cardio, I need to start prepping myself for race season! I actually just signed up for the Sporting Life 10km, this will be my 4th year in a row running this particular race and I am hoping for a new 10 km PB this year... fingers crossed! I am also registering for the Mercedes-Benz Oakville 10km , this will be my first time running this race, it is actually sponsored by Goodlife Fitness, the last race sponsored by them was great so I am sure this one will be the same. Sarah from My (Mostly) Healthy Life told me about this race, so we are going to do it together.... and hopefully do much better than we did at the Toronto Zoo 10km last September (it took us 64 min... a personal WORST for both of us, we don't know what the hell happened lol).

Now on to my 3rd WIAW. Today I started my day with my standard eggs and bacon breakfast. I love starting my day with this and it always keeps me full until snack or lunch time!

Next up was lunch. For lunch I had a salad... this salad consisted of Romain Lettuce, raspberries, mushrooms, red onion, hemp hearts and sugar snaps and was topped with tuna mixed with some mayo and water chestnuts.

Snacks: today at work I snacked on an apple and carrot sticks between classes. My post workout snack was a yummy protein shake. I am trying out a new powder, its pumpkin seed protein powder! It's totally tasteless and isn't grainy like a lot of hemp powder tends to be (that being said I love hemp protein powder), I add blueberries, raspberries, almond milk and a squirt of agave nectar.

Dinner was homemade tomato sauce (yes Dan and I made the sauce in the fall and put it in mason jars) we added red pepper, onion, mushroom, some salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, rosemary, oregano, chili flakes, a pinch of sugar and we put it on top of spaghetti squash!

It was a crazy day a work so what better way to finish off my evening than with a nice cold glass of white wine!
