Guys, It's Called...Moderation.

Happy Sunday Foodies!

Who is obsessed with adding blueberries to everything? ME! ME! This morning I had blueberry oats with toppings galore.

In the Mix: 2 T Oat Bran, 1/5 C Old Fashioned Oats, Handful of Frozen Blueberries. Toppings: 1 T Peanut Butter, crumbled blueberry muffin, and raisins!

Last night my Mom, Dad, and I went down to the Chicago area for a family function. Clay and Sister stayed back in Milwaukee, so I was flyin' solo.



I love seeing family who I haven't seen in a few years. There is always so much to talk about... and of course good food :) Last night we celebrated my Dad's cousin Kay's 75th birthday. We met at Maggiano's at Old Orchard for some family style Italian! There was SO MUCH FOOD! 3 courses. House Salad, Caesar Salad,  Chicken Marsala Pasta, Baked Ziti, Lemon Salmon, Chicken Parmesan.  < Gasp for air > Cookie Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Peanut Brittle, and Cream Puff Ice Cream Sandwiches. I'll take a little bit of this and a little bit of that. The only thing that was lacking was the veggie selection :) (Nerd Alert)

I was pretty stuffed from dinner, but couldn't resist dessert. Sweet Tooth = Weakness. I had ice cream from the ice cream sandwiches, a small piece of cookie cake, and whipped cream from the cheese cake!
I think it is important indulge every once in a while. I also think it is important to not feel guilty while doing it. Life is too short to waste a good piece of pie or pass up COOKIE CAKE! It's all about moderation.
