Goodbye Ruby Tuesday…(Part Two)

Posted Jan 12 2010 12:00am

Hello friends! I’m glad you all got a kick out of the lone, city Chicken. I want to start a campaign to get as many people to see that image as possible.

As for my eats, I’m so far behind on the blog that I’m still blogging about Tuesday. It’s been a pleasantly busy week, and blogging has been at the bottom of my priority totem pole.

Tuesday morning, I awoke for some:

Scrambled Eggs on Ryvita Multigrain Crackers, Naners and Peanut Butter, Clementine Orange

I sure love power breakfasts. My power breakfasts usually involve eggs of some sort. One of nature’s best s uperfoods !

The breakfast served me well as I walked a total of 60 blocks round trip to drop off cable equipment at RCN. So long basic cable, you expensive waste of time! On the trip back from RCN’s home base, I noshed/sipped on an unpictured peanut butter and jelly Lara Bar, as well as this yummy cherry mint water:

While walking, I did happen to pass a crack house Dylan’s Candy Bar . I had some overtime pay in my pocket, which I used to get my candy junkie fix:

Bag O' Dark Chocolate Treats, Bag O' Gummy Treats

I quickly put the candy out of sight in a hard-to-reach pantry (I want to take this bulk purchase one nibble at a time).

Lunch was a mess of the yogurt variety:

Chobani Vanilla Yogurt, Coconut Flakes, D'Anjou Pear Chunks, Blue Diamond Honey Almond Butter, Strawberry N' Cream Granola, Honey Drizzled On Top

Now, because I like to shop as frugally as my self-discipline/paycheck will allow, I purchased the cheapest granola I could get my hands on at the store (Breadshop, Strawberry N’ Cream):

Generic Brands Are My Best Friend Sometimes.

It is a very yummy variety, but also, you have to break it up yourself for the granola chunks are a little insane:

A Granola Chunk The Size of A Cat's Head. Seriously.

Anywho, I packed a yummy snack for my afternoon at work:

How Did I Ever Not Like Lara Bars?

Dinner was one of these lean, green, monstrously clean bad boys:

For the Green Monster:

1 cup Soy Milk (Creamy Vanilla)

2 Tbs. Ground Flax Seed

1 Frozen Banana

2 Gigantic Handfuls of Baby Spinach Leaves

Agave Nectar

1 Tbs. of Vegan Brown Rice Protein

It was delicious, and allowed me the indulgence of the amazing chocolate croissant Jodi brought over for our lazy movie night/sleepover:

Pret-A-Manger Goodness

Joben and I did the usual routine of laughing, talking about everything and anything, and watching MST3K. I happily re-watched “Werewolf” because it is seriously that amazing and hilarious:

"Werewolf?" "I don't know, you saw him last."

I also sipped on multiple cups of tea throughout the evening. Twas a lovely evening!

What  food is always a component of your power breakfast?
