I got promoted and we moved. Many of my friends got engaged and/or married. I had the opportunity to deepen relationships with new and old friends alike. I went back to Spain for a great summer trip.
It was a full year of fun. I’m a little sad to see it go, but I’m actually even more excited to start 2013.
I ended 2012 with lots of family time during the holidays. It started with our annual Christmas date night. We decided it was time to try Union Square Cafe , which we pass almost every day and which, incidentally, was delicious.
I started with the bibb lettuce salad.
And enjoyed the butternut squash tortelli with cranberry for my entree. It was full of holiday flavor, the cranberry really added the prefect tart punch to the sweet and savory pasta.
Frank had the signature roast chicken.
And we fought over every last brussels sprout on this plate
The next night we met Frank’s family for the traditional Nobu dinner. Nobu is definitely a treat. Then it was back to Staten Island for Christmas festivities. Frank’s mom can definitely create a winter wonderland!
After we got to celebrate with Frank’s family, we went upstate to see mine.
