Going on a Road Trip

Posted Oct 23 2012 11:04am

This post has nothing to do with health or fitness. It is sponsored by Kia and we are going to discuss road trip memories. First, please watch this commercial of hamsters dancing to techno music. Thank you.

I’ve never owned a Kia so I don’t have much to say about that but I can talk about my favorite road trip memory. This was in 2008 when I drove to Tennessee with my 3 best friends to go to Bonnaroo , a music festival with lots of hippies and great music.  I remember it taking hours and hours to get to Tennessee, but there is nothing like being in the car with your closest friends. Once we arrived to the music festival, we had to wait another 2 or 3 hours to enter and get our car checked for drugs. Don’t worry, we were clear.  2008 was the year Tiesto was at Bonnaroo so I remember us blasting my Tiesto CD and being super obnoxious to all of the other hippies waiting to enter. That is pretty much all I remember about the drive.  I drove a Mazda 6, not a Kia, and it got us there and back just fine. The key to the perfect road trip was having plenty of good music, snacks, and good friends. Oh right….this was very important to for someone with absolutely no sense of direction!

Now I would like to ask you…..

-Where was your best road trip destination?
-Do you have any advice for roadtrippers?
