So experimentland yesterday was pretty uneventful. Mostly prep work for today's experiment (note: I'm practically the only one in lab today as it's Veteran's day and we are 'supposed to' have the day off-- aah, the joys of graduate studies). On the plus side, I was able to sneak out during one of my experiment's 3 hour breaks and head to the gym.
I'm trying to get back to my old runner-self....aka my MUCH faster self. In college I ran a 7:36 half marathon pace...what?!?! Now I'm hovering somewhere around 8:08. So that being said, I hit the treadmill for some sprint-action...2 mile warm up @ speed 7.8 then 5 X 45 seconds @ speed 10.5 and 5 X 30 seconds @ speed 11...go go go!
So I decided I'd share a great new place I found...My hair dresser recently moved to a different salon and you need to check out this place..I've never seen anything like it! I haven't told them this yet but I'm planning to bring my U-Haul next appointment and move on in! Copy and paste this into your browser: http://vimeo.com/6482454
Anywhoooo....time to analyze this experiment (nerd note: I'm testing whether a drug I designed causes cell death to cancer cells and not healthy cells).
Happy Verteran's day and thank you to everyone fighting so we can continue to have our freedom!
