Hi, everyone! I’m keeping it short and sweet tonight, but I had to blog about something fun.
March 29 is a special day for my family — it’s “Go Get Her Day!” What is that, you ask?
Well, as I’ve mentioned before, I was adopted. I was born on February 6, but my parents came to get me on March 29 – 23 years ago today! Some fast facts about my adoption:
I was 7 weeks old.
I was born in Philadelphia and stayed in a foster home after the hospital.
My parents had 5 days from the time they heard they were getting me to when they came to Philadelphia.
Mom, Me, Dad.
The day was really exciting and scary for them, as I can imagine. They drove to get me that day and we’ve been a family ever since!
The cool thing about “Go Get Her Day” is that we’ve made a tradition of going to McDonald’s (well, usually.. in the last few years it hasn’t happened because I’ve been at school or living in WV). We do this because on the way home from picking me up, my mom really wanted something to eat, so they infamously stopped at McDonald’s. We’ve gone there ever since on this day.

It was a great day, and I’m glad we celebrate every year. I’ve been so blessed to have my parents in my life; they’re amazing! :)
Have a wonderful night, all. :)
