Glove Me, Glove Me Not

Good morning readers!

As you all know by now, I’ve been following the New Rules of Lifting for Women program. I am currently finishing up Stage 2, but as a result of the heavier weights, I have started developing calluses on the palms of my hands.

As dorky and ridiculous as I think they look, I broke down and got weight lifting gloves. Because, you know, I have delicate lady hands.

I ordered them off Amazon (I keep them in business I swear) and got the GoFit brand. I happen to love GoFit…both my kettlebell and stability ball are GoFit and they make durable quality products (no they didn’t pay me to say that but I wouldn’t say no if they offered, wink wink).

I tried them out for the first time yesterday morning and they do take a little getting used to, but whoa what a difference, especially for things like deadlifts where the weights are really heavy.

Even though I felt a little silly wearing them, I always felt a little badass because they made me look like a “serious” weight lifter. Sort of anyway.
