Wellllll. A few months ago my beloved washer died on me. And since I wasn't about to haul a bunch of dirty diapers and the worlds squirmiest baby to the laundry mat all by my lonesome, I resorted to using disposables.
(cue ominous sounding music)
I don't know if it's because Caleb was so used to cloth diapers, or if he just has a really sensitive bottom, but once I switched, he was hit with a mean case of red, bumpy, diaper rash within 2 short weeks of starting disposables.
And I will NEVER forget that horrible feeling I first felt when I saw my little guy howl in pain when I tried to wipe him. If you're not a mom yet, let me just warn you now that diaper rash is no joke. It's painful, irritating, and just plain uncomfortable. Ever have a rash before? Imagine that on your poor butt, and then imagine a darling, precious baby with lungs the size of Texas dealing with that kind of pain.
Yeah. Not fun.
So after a few miserable cases of dealing with Caleb's chapped bottom, I was given the butt-saving (literally) opportunity to test out Boudreaux Butt Paste.
And I am SO relieved I did! I've used other pastes before but have never gotten the same results that I got from Boudreaux butt paste. First, it definitely does a wicked good job of preventing a rash. But if a rash does happen to sneak up on my little man, the pesky rash disappears a lot faster than it normally would. And I'm talking within a day. A freaking day!
On top of that, it goes on easy and is mess free, it's odorless, and it's all natural, organic and free from synthetic pesticides, fertilizers,
antibiotics, hormones, and GMOs. EFF YEAH CAPSLOCK!
Take it from this momma who NEVER in a million years saw herself writing a whole post on butt paste. Obviously this stuff gets my vote.
And now for the fun part! Giveaway time! Boudreaux is giving me the chance to give away a sweet prize pack worth $150 in gift cards to Target, Walmart, and Babies R'us! Again, EFF YEAH CAPSLOCK. Seriously though, there's nothing worse than seeing your child in pain because of a rash that could have possibly been prevented in the first place. Do you always use butt paste with each change, or do you wash your cloth diapers a certain way? Are you a loyal Boudreaux fan like me? Use a certain brand of disposable diapers? Avoid certain foods?
If you have ANY tips on how to prevent or treat rash, holla at your girl, because I am dead serious about kicking some "rash".
Here's to happy babies free from the woes of diaper rash thanks to Boudreaux!
And just to put it out there, as part of the , I received a stipend and a Mom Toolkit in exchange for this awesome post about my baby's booty. All opinions are clearly my own.
