Girly Things Thursday: Valentine’s Ideas

I’m one of those femininsts females that believe love and appreciation should be shown throughout the year instead of just one day. I’m also one of those manipulators women that use that as a test to see what Travis will plan or do, haha just kidding(kinda).

Our very first Valentine’s Day was when we were both still in college. Travis had a class until 8p and I had to work until the same time so we decided on dinner and a rented movie. Our dinner of choice was Back Yard Burger to go with a movie(don’t remember which one). I told you about my fast food . Travis had got me yellow roses and a card which I loved. We were still a fairly new couple so no red roses just yet;)

Seven years later our Valentine’s have varied from year to year. Travis usually has to work late this time of year so we go out either the day or weekend before, I cook a nice dinner, or we order in and watch a movie or just hang out. We’re a pretty relaxed and low maintenance couple so we don’t expect or want extravagant presents or meals out.

This year we’ve talked about going to the market and getting food for a nice Surf & Turf but for dessert I’ve been eyeing Pinterest for some ideas.
