Garlic Rosemary Turkey Burgers

Posted Aug 23 2010 9:00am

One of the things that I love about the weekends is that I have time to grill out for lunch. With me running around like a chicken with my head cut off during the week, it just doesn’t happen. Since I had time yesterday, I utilized the grill and made a fabulous lunch. Plus, I needed to get my burger fix for the day ;)

We all know that I love grilling burgers, so here is a simple recipe that I just sort of threw together at the last minute for lunch on Saturday.

Garlic Rosemary Turkey Burgers

  1. Preheat grill or broiler to medium-high.
  2. Mix all ingredients together. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Grill or broil 3-4 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

In my opinion, I think rosemary was made for poultry, particularly turkey. It really brings through the flavors of the meat. And when you add garlic, OH MY GOD.

I topped my burger with some spinach, black bean hummus, tomato, and avocado. Usually I am a ketchup on my burger kinda guy, but these toppings totally topped plain ole ketchup.

I think my new favorite burger “vessel” is an English muffin. They are so chewy and delicious :)

What do you like your burger on? A bun? Bread? Pita? Other?
