Hey guys, how’s your week been? I don’t know about you but it’s been hectic around here. I’m looking forward to a weekend of long lunches, maybe a yoga class and not forgetting it’s World Environment Day this Sunday, a good time to stop and remember what it is we’re trying to save (not that we Cohabitairians have any trouble with that!) there’s plenty of events happening around the traps so be sure to look them up.

I’m hoping to get some dirty time in the garden for the occasion. Have I mentioned it’s a little community garden that we share with our five neighbours in the back car park?

Yep, this is what it looked like when we started out last September…

It’s not huge but it’s amazing what you can grow even in limited space. This is how it’s been looking lately…..

….very green, lots of rogue tomatoes, the herbs are still going strong, then there’s my little broccoli and parsnips from the Centennial Park Permaculture course , AND the passionfruit vine is about to have it’s first baby. Proud parents indeed.

We had loads of tomatoes over Summer (which made perfect pasta sauce here ), while our latest harvest success has been dwarf beans.

Can you see it? Our first passionfruit!

It’s nearly the end of the season for our current crops and we’re a little stumped as to what to plant next for Winter. Any ideas? I’m thinking cabbage and maybe some Asian Greens (if anyone in Sydney knows where to find seedlings, I’ve searched high and low so let me know!).

What’s growing in your garden?

Garden sandwich... my favourite weekend meal yum!
