Sometimes I like to pretend I’m Giada and speak with an Italian (eeetalian) accent.
It’s really funny too because I can’t stand when she says things with an Italian accent. Apparently that means I am doing something I find annoying myself? However, I am all for that apparently because I constantly leave my clothes on the floor, will leave dishes in the sink, and frequently don’t replace the empty toilet paper roll on the holder. All of which, I find to be quite annoying. At least I speak in my Italian accent in the comfort of my own home, and don’t allow myself to subject anyone else from hearing me.
Sometime this week, I received a few samples in the mail from Rigoni di Asiago, a company which has an organic line of different jams and fruit spreads. I had never heard of Rigoni di Asiago before, so when I went to their website, I was pleased to see how many different spreads they produce!
I was sent two full size bottles of fruit spread, along with four smaller samples so I could try a variety of different products.
The thing I love the most about this fruit spread is that it is sweetened with apple juice instead of even more sugar. I usually avoid buying any jams that are sweetend with even more sugar, so this was right up my alley. Even better is that Rigoni di Asiago has some great flavors!
One of the spreads I was sent to try was the fig fruit spread.
oh. my. gosh. It took all of my strength not to drink this straight from the jar. Honestly, I have never had any sort of fig spread before, but this stuff is amazing. It has fig seeds in it (3 cheers for seeded jams!) and is perfectly sweetened (read: not sweetened).
I also was sent the blackberry spread to try, which again, was wonderful. This spread didn’t have any seeds in it (bummer.), but the flavor was still spot on. A little runny, but delicious nonetheless.
And I’m holding these four little guys hostage so I don’t have six bottles of jam opened up on my fridge.
And for the last week I have been trying to make up for the loss of not being able to try their Nicciolata (read: organic nutella!) by eating my dark chocolate hazelnut butter by the spoonful.
Lucky for you, a read will have the opportunity to win a package from Rigoni di Asiago – you will be able to choose the fruit spreads you will receive (and if you’re not vegan, you can also try some of the Nocciolata!). To enter, you can do one of all of the following. Please leave a separate comment for each entry.
