I’m a little shocked actually. How is Christmas 3 weeks away? That doesn’t seem right. Maybe it’s just because Thanksgiving was so late but I feel so behind in all my holiday preparations! I’m trying not to stress out about it. I’m trying to remember Laura’s tips in order to stay sane over the next couple of weeks.
Before we get started with this week’s Friday Round-Up, can I share some exciting news with you? I’m on the list! The Babble 100 list of top blogs!! That’s just crazy pants. Did everyone else stop writing or something? What a nice holiday gift to me. And just when I was starting to question (again) why I blog or continue to blog…
I read so many great posts this week and I had a hard time narrowing them down. But here are my faves this week.
My 20 Year High School Reunion – What I least Expected
I don’t know if it’s because my 20th high school reunion is coming up this summer but I loved this post from Allie. She always has the best stories. But this story? It’s amazing. Allie met someone she least expected.
I’m over the “no excuses” mindset
Me too, Heidi. Like Heidi, I used to have an all-or-nothing mindset but over the years, I’ve come to realize that that’s not exactly healthy. She says it best here, “I love it all but my life is so much more and I can’t let one single thing or activity consume me physically and mentally.”
Do you say “just because” in answer to a question? Do you do something “just because”? Do you make assumptions “just because” of what someone does (or does not) say or do? Kierston shares her own “just becauses” and I love her perspective on this.
The #Selfie – a Blogiversary Retrospective
I’ve known Melissa for nearly seven years. We met as new moms when our sons were a few months old. It’s been really fun to get to know Melissa more and more through our common interest in health, fitness and blogging. She started her blog a year ago and I love the way she did her blogiversary post as well as her reflections.
Modern Family: Jersey Edition
I always love reading Ilene’s words. Three months ago, she and her kids packed up their bags and moved to North Carolina to start a new life and adventure. Her recent return trip to New Jersey over Thanksgiving provided tremendous perspective on just how far she has come. Her reflections are powerful.
I also have two fun posts of mine to share with you! Sorry that there’s an unusual amount of self-promotion today. Everything seemed to happen around the same time!
