My goodness the weather today was glorious! So I took the opportunity to bust out my light spring jacket. Can’t go wrong with a classic trench right? At least I hope not but I’ll admit I have zero fashion sense. I seriously envy those women who look uber cool wearing the most random pieces. I fear that if I tried the same, I might end up looking less like Kate Moss and more like Mischa Barton!
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, so unfortunately the high today was only 5C which meant I spent most of the time being cold! I am seriously longing for Spring. Is it just me or is the cold weather really dragging on this year?
This week has been great. Work has been hectic but kind of enjoyable and I’ve had some tasty food.
Such as KERF-style porridge with peanut butter for breakfast. Oh my, it has been way too long since I’ve had this. It is just so good!
Houmous, carrot and cumin sandwiches. The cumin adds a nice spicy kick and ramps the sandwich up a notchBars!
Clif bar. I really wish Clif would properly introduce their range of bars to the UK as they taste so darn delicious. The last of my Nature Valley Granola bars .
Pink Lady apples, which are my absolute favourite. Especially when doused in cinnamon. Swamp water, aka a banana and blueberry smoothie. Whenever I use the blender I am pretty anal about having to wash it up straight away. This smoothie starts off as a nice vibrant purple colour, but by the time I finish the washing up it has turned brown. Weird looking but still tasty. And I think that’s about it. Obviously I have the culinary tastes of a 5 year old! And yes, my food is boring to everyone but me. There has of course been the usual banana a day and it would seem that my dinners have been very boring because I don’t have a picture of a single one. Either that or it could just be that I am very lazy in the evenings!
Workout wise, things have been plodding along with the usual cycling to work and a bit of running. I’m planning to do a nice 4 mile run on Sunday with the huz which should be good.
Oh and this is a bit random, but did you hear about the woman who went nuts in a cupcake shop in Wales when she found out that the cupcake she wanted had sold out?! Bizarre!

On that note, I wish you a good weekend.
