Home Accessories and Style Friday Favorites (8/22)

Happy Friday!

Here are some of my favorite things from the week.  As always, I’d love to know what yours are as well, so please leave them in the comments. :)

Friday favorites

Harvest Bay coconut water

I’ve tried my fair share of coconut water brands in my day and have liked mostly all of them, but this one caught me by surprise.  I randomly picked it up at Whole Foods last week and couldn’t believe how good it was!  I have to say that I wasn’t a fan of the pineapple flavor, but the plain one was delicious.  I’m definitely going to pick up some more when I visit Whole Foods again.

Watermelon Hint Water

I drink loads of water each day, but sometimes it gets a little bit boring.  I’ve been drinking Hint water lately because it isn’t carbonated (yay, for not being bloated!), and like the name suggests, it has just a bit of flavor.  My favorite is the watermelon, but I’ve actually liked every flavor that I have tried.  I realize that I can easily flavor my own water at home, but I love having a grab and go option.

Starfish cuff

I wore this cuff in a recent photo that I posted on Instagram and in a weekend recap, and I still absolutely love it!  It is so beachy and summery.  I’m trying to get as much use out of it as I can before pumpkin season hits.

Betty Racerback Maxi Dress

I always thought that I was too short to wear maxi dresses.  I figured that I’d either be tripping over the fabric or I’d look like a little girl wearing her mother’s clothing.  I’m really glad that I got over all of that because I absolutely love wearing maxi dresses!  They are so comfortable, and they make me look as though I am pulled together (even if I have wet hair and I’m covered in baby spit-up).  I could probably wear this one from Lilly Pulitzer every single day if it wasn’t for the fact that I actually have to wash it to remove the baby spit-up.

Orville Redenbacher popcorn machine

Orville Redenbacher’s Hot Air Popper

As some of you know, MT and I are popcorn fiends.  So, it was kind of an emergency situation in our household last weekend when our popcorn machine went kaput.  To be honest, I was actually pretty happy to see it go.  It was always kind of a pain in the butt to use, and it would sometimes burn the popcorn.  Our new Orville Redenbacher machine, however, has taken our popcorn experiences to a whole other level.  It doesn’t require any oil, makes every bucket taste light and fresh, and it is super easy to clean.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I’m the same with coconut water, I don’t like the flavors, I just like plain

I tried so hard to make myself drink the pineapple one, but I couldn’t get beyond three sips!

  2. I so want some popcorn now – ha! Happy Weekend – let’s pop to it :)
