For someone who was completely dreading Christmas, it really wasn’t that bad. There was quality family time, good food, and presents. All good things.
Of course, I may have been hung over and sleep deprived for my family Christmas party. That wasn’t so good. 30 people in one room after having too much wine and four hours of sleep the night before, is kind of a bad combination. Who knew?
But I managed to get through it without anyone noticing, so I consider that a pretty big win.
And on Christmas day, I got the only thing I asked for/wanted, so that was good too.
I know, it’s hard to tell what it is with my mom’s excellent wrapping skills, so in case you’re wondering, it’s a new kettlebell. Five pounds heavier than my old one, and I love it.
What does it say about me that my favorite presents were a kettlebell and workout clothes?
Anyways, that was my round about way of saying Christmas didn’t suck.
And, I even took advantage of the boxing day sales and bought myself some pretty new bedding. I’m kind of in love with it, and all I want to do is lay in bed all the time now.
Still, I’m not sad it’s over. Now all I have to do is get through New Year’s. My big exciting plans are to sit on my couch with a bottle of wine and pretend it’s just a regular night. Should be a good time.
