Friday 5 Graphic Knowledge

Posted May 10 2013 6:30am
Well Hello Friday...let's cuddle...

It's time to celebrate the end of a week that literally flew by for me.  The first part of the week was exhausting as I got back into my internship after vacation.  Once I got my groove back and got into rhythm with my am workouts the week was gone in a flash.  I spent Monday - Thursday interning at Second Harvest Food Bank in Orlando.  I had a great time and got to accomplish a lot of projects.  They even let me teach kids about reading labels and proper portion sizes.
I only stand under FSU flags.
Don't forget that this Saturday is "Stamp Out Hunger" day so please leave canned goods for your mail carrier to collect and deliver to local food banks like Second Harvest .

For this week's Friday 5 I decided to take some graphic nutrition knowledge from Pinterest to share. BTW are we still obsessed with Pinterest?

Enjoy the knowledge bomb about to be dropped on you. If you hover over the top right of the image you should see a "P" that you can click to pin these to your own boards.

1. Reasons to Eat Fruit
I don't need more reasons to eat fruit.  I need more money to buy it.  But if you do pin this great chart.

2. What vitamin does what?
Our bodies need vitamins and here's a simple chart to show you the function of those all important multi-v's.
3. What to eat after you workout?
I devoted an entire post to post-workout foods , but sometimes a visual reminder is helpful.  What's your fave post workout nibble? I vote peanut butter and banana.

4. Healthy Baking Substitutes
If I bake a cookie (after I give the mouse it's milk) you can bet it's made with applesauce.  I never think twice about making this swap.  Here's a chart with more tweaks to make baking healthy.

5. Not Motivation
Pinterest is filled with motivational workout images.  This is not one. But isn't it funny?

Happy Weekend friends! Don't forget to enter our Balance Bar Dark giveaway .

Are you still using Pinterest?
What did you learn today from this post?

Love and graphic design,
Carissa & Kyle
