Last night we had Navaho Tacos (aka Indian Bread, etc.), you know…fried bread that is oh-so good for you topped with deliciousness. I’m hardly ever in the mood for a salad, seriously…I’m not a fan unless it has way more goods in it than lettuce. But the lettuce in our garden was looking awesome & so hard to pass up…so we put it on our tacos, and it was the perfect touch!
I’m a fan of growing lettuce in the garden. Like I said, not a huge salad eater, so when I buy lettuce at the store…it usually goes bad before we finish it off. But now we can just go outside, pick what we want & the rest of it keeps growing & staying fresh. Love it!
As for the rest of our garden, the peas are ALMOST ready. The little man ate a couple pods of the miniature peas and loved them. So, just like the strawberries, my man & I wont be getting any of those either, after our little man figures out what to pick!
The carrots, zucchini, corn, and potatoes are still not ready. boo. And we only had one bean plant come up, which has already disappeared (seriously, don’t know what happened to it)…so no beans.
