For your...body! Spring Running Fashion and Favorites.

Spring is really here! I actually ran in shorts and a tank top on Wednesday. It was so freeing and lightweight. You know it truly is spring in Chicago when the lakefront water fountains are turned back on. Whenever the seasons begin to change people are refreshed and excited about getting into shape, starting a new fitness regime and setting new goals. This may sound silly but most of you will probably agree, whenever you have a new outfit whether for working out or going out you are excited to wear it. Having new workout clothes gets me excited to get moving, especially because I live in workout clothes. This season is full of bright colors, fun stripes, fancy straps, and colored running shoes! Here are my latest and greatest finds...
And yes, there is a running skirt on here. I really did buy one and I kind of love it. Never say never.
A few notes about spring/summer workout clothing: 1) Look for moisture wicking material. 2) Loose fitting tops are often nice on a really hot day. 3) Make sure to buy good socks, I know $12 sounds pricey but it is worth it. Invest in 6 good pairs and your blister free feet will thank you. 4) My handheld water bottle is my favorite running accessory. I don't run without it anymore, even for a short run. You never have to worry about being thirsty and having to run 1 more mile to get to the fountain. Remember you are already dehydrated when you are thirsty! 5) Mix and match bright colors and patterns, its just fun and traffic will be able to see you better:-)
