Fit and Clean Fall Granola Recipe

Posted Feb 01 2013 2:51pm

I named this blog post “Fall Granola Recipe” because it totally reminds me of fall…cinnamon, nutmeg… but this granola recipe is so good I could live on it indefinitely.  That says something.  I don’t say that very often. :)

Double batch this time!

Double batch this time!

It was sooo good, I haven’t been able to stop eating it since I made it.

I added Craisins after it cooled instead of raisins. They added a lot to the flavor and texture.

Fit and Clean Fall Granola Recipe

Preheat oven to 300*

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup oat bran

1/4 cup ground flaxseed

1 cup slivered almonds

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup Craisins

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients together including spices in a large bowl, set aside. Simmer honey, maple syrup, water and vanilla extract just until bubbles form. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients.  Spread in a single layer onto a baking pan (or 2).  Bake for 30 minutes, stirring half way through cooking time.

Enjoy!
