Yesterday was the first day of volleyball practice. Right now we (the coaches) are checking out the skills of all the players & then we are going to put them in teams later this week. It was A LOT of fun & I’m gonna be sore! I’ll admit I haven’t played v-ball in a long while, & probably over did it yesterday. What’s that? Coaches aren’t suppose to play…yeah right. Not this coach. I’m gonna be in there with the rest of them!!

After the 2 1/2 hours of practice (7th grade for an hour+ then 8th grade for an hour+) I met my men & we headed up to the mountains to pick HUCKLEBERRIES!!
We thought we had missed the season all together because we were out of town or busy every weekend this month…but luckily my man works in the forest a lot & he spotted some today while he was out & about. We spend close to an hour picking & came home with a tiny little pint. Huckleberry waffles here we come!!!
The little man had a great time (especially since he got to stay up late). We probably would have a couple pints to bring home, except this little dude ate A TON! Huckleberries are a new favorite of his! And he found some mud puddles to play in. He was drenched by the time we were done. Boys will be boys!
