Easy Skinny Fast Food Breakfast to Go! This popular recipe post and photo of my Greek Yogurt with Berries and Pecans serves as my end-of-summer reminder to stay on the healthy track even with hectic, blurry mornings.
It takes two minutes to toss together this high protein fast breakfast. When I know my morning will be super busy, I prepare it the night before in a food storage container to grab and go. Alway have these simple ingredients stashed in your refrigerator for an easy start to the day.
Greek Yogurt with Berries and Pecans Recipe:
6 oz of Plain 0% Greek Yogurt (18 grams of protein)
Blueberries
Strawberries
Pecans (healthy fat and some more protein)
Lots of Cinnamon
Mix together and enjoy!
Some Hints: Only use PLAIN yogurt. All others are sugar traps! Greek Yogurt is my favorite with a substantial texture and terrific taste. If you wish to add your own Vanilla Extract, go ahead.
I buy frozen blueberries year round and keep them defrosted in my refrigerator. In the summer, it’s easy to buy inexpensive and sweet fresh ones.
Substitute any other fruit favorites you may have on hand for the strawberries, such as a chopped apple or half a banana. These strawberries were on sale and wonderful!
Alternate a variety of tree nuts each time — Pecans, Almonds and Walnuts.
With this recipe, I never have an excuse to skip a large healthy breakfast to jump-start my Easy Skinny Life each day. Make breakfast your low sugar, high protein ritual, too.
